What you need in the yard

The cannon fills about a 30 ft by 30 ft footprint and can stack foam roughly 4 feet deep, so it wants open, level ground with nothing overhead. Grass is the best surface because it drains and it stays soft when the foam makes it slick. Concrete and tile get slippery fast, so we do not recommend either.

You will need a standard outdoor water spigot and a regular electrical outlet within reach of the setup spot. Keep a dry zone at the edge of the foam area where towels, shoes, phones, and speakers can sit safely out of range.

How to run a foam party

Tell your guests in advance to arrive in swimsuits or clothes they do not mind soaking, and ask parents to pack towels and a change of clothes. Foam gets in hair and on glasses, so a towel station near the dry zone saves a lot of trips inside.

Most hosts run foam in bursts rather than continuously: turn it on, let everyone play in it, then pause while it settles and the kids catch their breath. That rhythm keeps the party going longer and keeps the foam depth manageable for smaller children.

Foam is a natural pairing with a waterslide, and we price it lower when you book the two together. If you are already renting a slide for a summer birthday, adding foam is the cheapest way to double the fun.
