Tall cocktail (highboy) tables that keep guests mingling during cocktail hours and standing receptions. Chairs and barstools are not included and need to be added separately.
Why standing tables change a room
Seated tables fix people in place. Cocktail tables, sometimes called highboys or pub tables, do the opposite: guests drift between them, conversations turn over, and the room stays in motion. That is why receptions, open houses, graduation parties, and company gatherings use them even when there is plenty of seating available.
They also solve a real problem at a party where people are holding a plate and a drink at the same time. A place to set something down is often all a guest actually needs, and one highboy serves several people at once without eating floor space.
How many and where to put them
A common approach is one cocktail table for every eight to ten standing guests, then adjust from there. Place them along the edges of the space and near the food and drink stations rather than in the middle of the floor, so they create natural gathering points without blocking the path through the room.
They pair well with an outdoor movie night too: a row of highboys behind the seating gives adults somewhere to stand, talk quietly, and set a drink down without walking in front of the screen.
They are a full-day rental; dress them with linens if you want them to read as part of the decor. Ask us about linen colors when you book and we will bring them on the same delivery.
Fitted spandex covers are available for these tables in black or white. Pick the table with a cover in the options when you add it to your event.
